Logging and Scheduling Maintenance

Maintenance records help you keep equipment reliable, document repairs, and prepare better reports for operating sessions, insurance, clubs, and museums.

Open Maintenance

  1. Sign in and confirm the correct organization.
  2. Open /app/maintenance.

The dashboard shows total maintenance records, schedule compliance, overdue items, upcoming work, and recently completed work.

Log Completed Work

  1. Open /app/maintenance/log.
  2. Select the inventory item.
  3. Choose the maintenance type.
  4. Enter the date performed.
  5. Add a description, cost, notes, or related details.
  6. Save the record.

Common types include cleaning, lubrication, repair, preventive, and emergency maintenance.

Schedule Future Work

  1. Open /app/maintenance/schedule.
  2. Choose a date range.
  3. Filter by item type or maintenance type if needed.
  4. Select Add to Schedule when you need a new scheduled item.

The schedule view groups work by date and shows estimated cost when available.

Review Overdue and History

  • Use /app/maintenance/overdue to focus on work needing attention.
  • Use /app/maintenance/history to review completed work.
  • Use /app/reports/maintenance for cost, compliance, overdue, and upcoming maintenance analysis.

Museum and Volunteer Workflows

Museum-tier or shared organizations may expose inspection schedules, certification-required fields, FRA-style inspection context, restoration projects, and volunteer assignments.
