Berlin S-Bahn electrification completed

August 3, 1924, saw the final conversion of Berlin's suburban railways to 750V DC third-rail power, creating one of Europe's most advanced S-Bahn systems. The project, managed by the Deutsche Reichsbahn, involved new ET 165 multiple units and extensive infrastructure upgrades. It connected key districts and supported Berlin's growth as a metropolis.
