Engineer Cab is the operator surface for controlling an assigned locomotive or train.
Before Moving
Confirm:
- The correct operating session is active.
- The locomotive or train is assigned to you.
- Hardware state supports movement.
- Dispatcher or session authority allows the move.
- Emergency stop is available.

For live hardware operation, prefer the RailCommand desktop app and local runtime workflow.
If the Train Does Not Respond
Do not keep increasing throttle.
- Stop.
- Verify command station and track power.
- Verify DCC address and locomotive selection.
- Check whether the session is simulated, degraded, or offline.
- Ask the dispatcher or session host before trying again.
