RailScanPro's authenticated web app includes mobile-friendly inventory and QR workflows for phones and tablets. Use the same sign-in and organization context you use on desktop.
Start from the Browser
- Open RailScanPro in your mobile or tablet browser.
- Sign in.
- Confirm the correct organization is selected.
- Open Asset Management.
For current inventory work, the most useful mobile routes are:

Add Items with Photos
- Open
/app/asset-management/add. - Choose Photo First for AI-assisted entry or Quick Add for fast manual entry.
- Take or upload clear photos.
- Review every suggested field before saving.
Photo-first entry supports multiple photos, primary photo selection, and orientation labels.
Scan QR Labels
- Open
/app/asset-management/scan. - Allow camera access.
- Choose the correct camera.
- Tap Start.
- Aim at a RailScanPro QR label.
When the code is recognized, RailScanPro opens the item detail page.
Layout-Room Tips
- Keep the device charged during long cataloging sessions.
- Use bright, even lighting for both QR scans and AI photos.
- Set models on a plain background before photographing them.
- Confirm the organization before adding or editing inventory.
- Use the item detail page to update notes, condition, location, decoder information, or maintenance status.
Availability Note
This article describes the current browser and tablet-friendly workflows. Native mobile packaging, offline sync, and app-store distribution should be treated as active product areas unless your RailScanPro administrator has specifically provided a released mobile app.
