RailScanPro supports both public museum discovery and authenticated museum organization work. Public visitors can find museums. Authorized museum users can manage collection, exhibit, volunteer, event, archive, gallery, and display-frame workflows.
Find or Claim a Museum
Use the public finder:
- Open
/museumsor/museums/finder. - Search for the museum.
- Open the museum detail page.
- Use
/museums/{Id}/claimwhen you represent the museum and need to claim it.
The finder also supports claim-first onboarding at /museums?claim=1.
When claiming a museum, sign in or create an account with your museum email address. If your email domain matches the museum, the claim may auto-approve. Otherwise, it goes to admin review.
Open the Museum Hub
For authenticated work, open /app/museums. From there you can:
- Use Find Museums at
/app/museums/finder. - Review favorites.
- Open museum detail pages available to your account.

Collection Management
Use the collection route to search, filter, sort, and open museum collection items. Current filters include type, condition, and search text. Users with edit permission can add items.
For formal accession policies, donor records, conservation standards, and loan agreements, follow your museum's procedures and use RailScanPro fields or notes that are available in your current workflow.
