Creating Public Galleries

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Public-facing pages help visitors discover your railroad, club, or museum. Visibility depends on organization type, plan, permissions, and which records you choose to expose.

Public Railroad Page

Use /app/settings/public-page to manage public railroad page settings when the feature is available for your organization.

Before publishing, review:

  • Organization and railroad name.
  • Description.
  • Public contact information.
  • Public photos or gallery content.
  • Which inventory records should be visible.

Club Public Presence

Club work starts at /app/clubs. A club dashboard can include feed, events, members, photos, layouts, and collaboration. Public-facing club details should be reviewed by a club owner or admin before sharing.

Museum Public Presence

Public museum discovery starts at:

  • /museums
  • /museums/finder
  • /museums/{Id}

Museum representatives can use /museums/{Id}/claim to claim a public museum listing.

Authenticated museum organization work starts at /app/museums/{MuseumId}. Museum dashboards include collection, exhibits, volunteers, events, archives, gallery, and QR display frame routes when available.

Visitor Display Frame

Museum dashboard users can open /app/museums/{MuseumId}/qr-frame for a QR-backed display frame. Use it when a public exhibit, open house, or gallery sign needs a scannable visitor entry point.

Review Before Sharing

Before making anything public:

  • Confirm you are in the correct organization.
  • Review item visibility.
  • Remove private notes from public-facing records.
  • Confirm photos are appropriate for visitors.
  • Confirm contact and location information.
